Steps to calculate and obtain a mortgage loan in Colombia.

Firstable you need to know how much mortgage loan you can get based on your family income. By law, a bank should lend you at least 70% of the total price of the real estate you trying to purchase. The other 30% is your downpayment, money that you need to obtain from a CD, Savings Account, etc. If you are buying real estate on a new project, it works in a different way, the 30% that you need to come up with you have the option of breaking down in monthly payments equal to time of construction, money that will go to an escrow company/bank. First step is to determine the price of the piece of real estate that you are wanting to purchase. (The rest of steps only concerns to Colombia Citizens.)
